Monique, Brazilian documentary photographer currently based on Belo Horizonte/ MG.

Mon is part of the series " Curating New Angles", where Roberta Tavares is conducting an experience based on previous exercises and narratives main points and pointers of those sustaining a visual identity by elements and moods playingwith imagination and interpretation but they are back to the questions and provocations who make these authors and storytellers unique in their purpose.

The story " Call me Mommy" exams the female identity dealng with motherhood and post partum. What more conveyed in this portrait rather than the fact and title I'm a mom? Being a mom defines my existence, my presence and the totality of who I am? A interception to recognize the other screams, scars, the pieces of her identity that doesn't come only in reverb of the background monossilable sound and fate "mom, mom, mom!"    (Roberta Tavares )
